While working on a standalone modular software synthesizer (I don't know if anything will come of this yet, we'll see) I think I've worked out why the FM/Sync patches in triceratops use more CPU than they should, it's to do with the function that changes waveform shape, as this isn't essential enough to call at every frame I should be able to fix this up soon, fingers crossed.
